Abstract : In the last 50 years, there has been a significant evolution of play and games practices in society. With the valuing of play for children's development, there has been a social and professional concern about the facilitation practices to encourage play and allow access to toys and games for all children. However, the new paradigm of board games as an adult leisure activity changed the representation of play and games and brought some confusion about why and how these practices make sense, in a useful way for the community.
